I've seen this challenge done by multiple booktubers and book bloggers so now it's my turn!
1. Do you have a book with deckled edges?
Yes, and I love them! Off the top of my head, The Glass Spare and The Cursed Sea by Lauren DeStefano.
2. Do you have a book with three or more people on the cover?
Another yes! It's not super common on my shelves, but I know they are there. A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir
3. Do you have a book based on another fictional story?
Is this trying to ask if I have any retellings? If so, yes. I have the Splintered trilogy by AG Howard and so many others.
4. Do you have a book with a title 10 letters long?
Umm. This is going to take some thinking. 10 letters isn't a lot to work with. Roseblood - 9, Thunderhead - 11, Divergent - 9 again, Frostblood by Elly Blake 10! Ah ha! That took way longer than I anticipated.
5. Do you have a book with a title that starts and ends with the same letter?
My first though, is look for titles with the letter s. But I'm blanking on titles with the letter S. Obsidio by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. Not an O but completely works!
6. Do you have a mass market paperback book?
Yes. The only one I can think of is a Dean Koonz book. Deeply Odd. I'm not a huge fan of mass market paperbacks, other than if I had to travel with them and didn't have space. However, in fear of loosing or ruining a book, I very rarely take any with me when I travel anyways.
7. Do you have a book written by an author using a pen name?
Does Victoria Schwab count? I know she uses Victoria with her middle grade and VE with her adult books?
8. Do you have a book with a character's name in the title?
Going with an easy answer on this one. All the Percy Jackson books have his name in the title.
9. Do you have a book with two maps in it?
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. They are absolutely gorgeous and if you haven't seen them yet, go check them out!
10. Do you have a book that was turned into a TV show?
My first thought is the Shadowhunters series by Cassandra Clare.
11. Do you have a book written by someone who was originally famous for something else? i.e. celebrity, athlete, politician, TV personality, ect.
No, not anymore. Well at least that I know of. I used to have a book by Tim Allen but I donated it awhile back during an unhaul.
12. Do you have a book with a clock on the cover?
I'll have to actually go look on my shelves for this one. First gut reaction is no... after scouring the shelves the closest I could find was Clockwork Angel. There's the clock tower in the background. Does that count?
13. Do you have a poetry book?
Easy, no. Nothing against poetry, I just know I do not have any.
14. Do you have a book with an award stamp on it?
Uhhh, I'm going to have to get up and look again. Ok. Finally found one. Looking for Alaska by John Green. It has a Michael L Printz Award on the front.
15. Do you have a book written by an author with the same initials as you?
YES! And he's got a new book coming out so soon that I'm super excited to read. Christopher Paolini.
16. Do you have a book of short stories?
The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
17. Do you have a book that is between 500-510 pages long?
So instead of pulling book after book, I'm just going straight to Goodreads for this one. Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman has 504 pages
18. Do you have a book that was turned into a movie?
I have a couple a few. The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan (which I'm so excited they are redoing!), The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns by John Green, Eragon by Christopher Paolini, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Divergent by Veronica Roth, and I'm sure there is even more. Hollywood loves to adapt popular books and (in my opinion) destroy them.
19. Do you have a graphic novel?
I don't, although I've been eyeing the Shades of Magic novels by V.E. Schwab for quite some time.
20. Do you have a book written by two or more authors?
Illuminae trilogy by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and their new trilogy Aurora Rising.
And that's it! This was a lot of fun but also a lot tougher than I thought!
