Thank you to Penguin Teen and Netgalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.First off, I loved this book! It was the perfect amount of thrilling horror and I could not put it down! I was constantly on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. It definitely gave me classic slasher, horror movie vibes.I loved the spooky castle and dark forest. Kagen The Damned Book Review

3 1/2 Stars Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for early access to Kagen the Damned by Jonathan Maberry in exchange for an honest review. TW: Graphic Violence, Adult Language, Adult Content, Rape, Suicide, Killing of Animals I enjoyed where the plot of this story was going, however I felt that there was a lot of repeating scenes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you to Penguin Teen and Netgalley for an e-arc copy in exchange for an honest review.   I love retellings and this was no exception. This Cinderella meets The Selection retelling was such a fun and fast read for me. I loved the characters, drama and all the beautiful settings. She is a character I was able to see myself in, minus the balls and fancy...

Do you enjoy court room drama with a fantasy twist? Then definitely give this book a go. However, with no sequel planned, if you don't like an open ended ending, you won't enjoy the end of this story. I'm hoping for a book 2. I would love to see where the author takes these 5 outlawed teenagers. This is written in multiple POV, which I love. I love seeing through the eyes of different characters and the unraveling of the cases. Throw in a few plot twists, and I was hooked. The second half of the book was fast paced...

The Valkyries Daughter Review

Posted by Chelsea Poff on

Thank you to Entangled Teen for a e-arc copy to read and review. I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure with Sigrid and Hestur. There are Valkyries, Night Elves, Royalty and Gods all wrapped up in this quick paced adventure. This is an underdog story, and who doesn't love an underdog.  I loved all the worlds, and world building and definitely recommend.
